I already own the game, but I have recently found myself buying a lot of games I already own off of GOG since they tend to put out some pretty awesome patches that get the games working much better. Is there such a mod for this game? I have all the Gothic games, but I cant get Gothic 1 to play on Windows 7 64 bit, and would love to pick it up off here if they got it working.

GOG's version of Gothic 1 works perfectly on Windows 7 64-bit. It has some sort of wrapper patch thing included; I'm not sure what it fixes, but the end result is a working game.

I don't have the retail version to compare it with so it could be there is some tweak or other you could use to get your existing version working, but if all else fails there's the GOG version. :)

I too can say that Gothic 1 works in Windows 7 64-Bit.

I did encounter occasional crashes, but nothing severe. From what I gather, one or two crashes are to be expected with the game.
