Whenever I run anything other than software render, my characters seem to disappear into the background. I would just run it on software mode, but that messes with the sound and makes the game run slow. Does this happen to anyone else?

How is this solved? Because what I'm hearing is, "You have to go find an old computer for it to run on"

Great, my first buy at gog and it's an unplayable game... The sole reason I bought it, was that it said it's compatible with new 64 bit OS, so I figured it will work well. Should have checked the forums earlier. And to think I chose this over pirate bay... Damn, I'm just sooooo disapointed :(

this is not solved! I can get this to run in the software mode (sort of) but the sound is so choppy I can not understand anything being said. In the other 2 modes I get the intro to run but after the intro, or when I skip the intro movie the game quits and I get message saying
Unable to compute z-lookup table, Whatever that is. I hope someone has something about this problem. Between the choppy sound or this message I get the game seems to be unuseable. Also when I go and look at the properties screen and select the compatability tab the system selections are grayed out so I cannot select anything else there. Thats all I can come up with for now. I am trying to run this with windows 7. HAPPY GAMMING TO ALL.

Unfortunately, yes. It's very common with new 3d cards. I never did get this title to run correctly in HW mode - Software rendering solves the graphics glitch, but screws up sound so badly, it's almost unbearable.

The solution for the Nvidia cards owners - setup ForceWare 163.75. It properly works on my 8600GTS.

It finally works (almost) properly with mit ATI Radeon 5570 on a Desktop. Got the standard ati driver and selcted the ati graphic card. the loading screen stays visible in the background of any cinematics, game is workling fluently though.

finally. that game is so awesome! looking forward to gorky 21. hope the don't screw up!

Just got a new laptop and I can confirm it works fine on an ATI 4250 mobile card. Finally get to play it!

Works normal only in software mode (only few bugs). In other render modes characters disappear.(
