I noticed it's available to download on Amazon, supposedly compatible with Windows 7, and added August 2012. Can anyone confirm if this version is more stable than the one on GOG or is it exactly the same?

Interesting ... in the system requirements is reported only an ATI video card but few lines below is written that it works with NVIDIA and ATI cards listed above that support shader BUT ABOVE ONLY ATI IS LISTED!

i thought gog normaly offers the better version (outside fan fixes). since they do some tweeking themselves in most cases.
I just got this one, and I'm sure it's the same version. Topware just released their olde games in box versions and in digital download versions some time ago, that's what that is you see on Amazon.

The game runs fine for me on Windows 7. I do have an ATI video card though, it seems to have trouble with Nvidia cards from all the posts in the forum. For me though, the game runs perfect, no problems at all.

Although note they are both the European version, and they are not the North American version. If there was a difference in those versions, I am not sure. They seem the same to me from what I've played of each.

That's not true. The "fanboys" only act like they do, and they try to spread stuff about how great gog.com is and how great they are at fixing games, when in fact you can find better versions of some games elsewhere, and they don't do anything special at all that most people with knowledge with computers can't do. Can't talk to these types of people though without their rudeness and hateful speech coming out, so no reason to bother.

It's like that olde music band Winger. They were once made fun of on Beavis and Butthead, and people stopped going to their shows and buying their records at the time, and the band lost a lot of money. It's the same thing here. Rather than use their own minds, they follow words blindly and not facts. Whether or not you like Winger isn't the point ;).

In fact, since we're talking about Topware, you can acutally buy some of their olde box releases that even have more bonus content than the gog.com releases on here. Eh, better to use your own mind than listen to a horde.

So it's not true, but the last part of your sentence implies it is true. You are wasting my time.

If you get hurt over the fact that gog.com's versions games aren't far superior to every game you can find elsewhere, I don't know what to tell you. It's a fact. Nowadays you can find drm free games in lots of places, as well as olde dos games.
