Just here to report that my Xbox One controller does not work on linux (Ubuntu 20.04).
The game pretends it supports gamepads at startup, only to let you down.
Apparently, gamepad support has a track record of issues on this game. Not buying the sequel until this is fixed, that's how reputation works, sadly.
