Halloween has passed, but thanks to you can still feel its spirit and scare mortals as the Ghost Master for only $5.99.
Gravenville was once a peaceful town, but that's all changed. Ghost Master is a strategy game with puzzle elements that allows you to play the bad guy. Your goal, as the Ghost Master, is to build a team of ghosts and cause all mortals to flee the area in fear. To do that you'll have to complete a number of missions in and around the Gravenville area by recruiting and training new ghosts. But you have to be cautious, because if there's something strange in the neighborhood, mortals will call Ghostbrakers.
I've been waiting the past few days very anxiously for the release. I never got a chance to play the game back when it was released (mostly due to the ultra-cheesy cover art, which seems to have turned alot of people away from this game).
The game is a true gem, aside from the few "scare everybody" -missions, alot of the other missions require almost point-and-click adventure game style decisions (which ghost could be used to do something particular at a certain spot). The game is so bold that it even some "tactical RTS" elements, where you have to position your ghosts, armed with particular powers.
I particularly enjoyed the humour of the game; you'll get a chance to scare people like Ally McStick and Obi Wan Shinobi in alot of movie-inspired scenarios like The Calamityville Horror, The Blair Wisp Project, Deadfellas and Spooky Hollow to name a few.
I can definately recommend the game for fans of genre-adventorous games.
If you are looking for innovative, untypical games, you should try this one. A mix of an arcade and managerial with a strategy flavour.
Take a role of ghosts "manager" and scare the population of Gravenville with the help of your spooky friends.
Shocking, Steam are selling this for a dollar less. Still bought it from here. :-D
Oh-Bollox: Shocking, Steam are selling this for a dollar less. Still bought it from here. :-D

The one on Steam requires the Steam client to run.
Therefore the extra 1 dollar for the GOG version is worth it imho. =)
