For anyone going into this game in 2025 or later;
Ghost at Dawn has had some substantial updates and changes compared to its original state.
If you look up guides or Playthroughs on Youtube or Twitch; you will notice that certain items are not in the same place. There are also new locations and new items in the game that were not in the original one.
One such example is a missing door handle on the 2nd floor. It's already on the door in the original version(s) but now you gotta find it else where! it's not a bug!
Pay close attention to the maps and you'll immediately see what I mean.
Lastly, there are no save files. The Save data is saved directly to the Windows Registry at the following location;
\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Blue and Red Games\GHOST at DAWN
If you want to make backups or mess with it; you can export it safely export the Registry Key as a .REG file. To restore your save you just double click the .REG file and it will over write your existing save data with the data from when you exported it.
