Vampire®: The Masquerade - Bloodlines™, бессмертная ролевая игра о жизни не менее бессмертных вампиров, уже в продаже на GOG.com, без DRM.

«Упыри и вурдалаки приготовились к атаке» – эта строчка из песни известных нонконформистов 90-х как нельзя лучше иллюстрирует повадки нежити в большинстве преданий и произведений… Но только не в мире <span class="bold">Vampire&reg;: The Masquerade - Bloodlines&trade;</span>. Здесь вампиры предпочитают не атаковать людей (хотя и такое, чего уж там, случается), а тайно жить среди них более или менее мирной вампирской жизнью. Как прикинуться человеком и не облажаться – решением этого вопроса кровопийцы (а также оборотни, зомби и прочая нечисть) заняты ежедневно, а нарушителям приходится платить страшную цену – таков закон Маскарада.

Bloodlines – классическая ролевая игра о ночной жизни живых мертвецов. Игроки получат возможность изучить хитросплетения интриг вампирских кланов, распутать несколько заговоров, прибить пару (тысяч) чудовищ и, конечно, сумеют отрастить зубы и кого-нибудь загрызть. Добро пожаловать на Маскарад: <span class="bold">Vampire&reg;: The Masquerade - Bloodlines&trade;</span> уже в продаже на GOG.com, без DRM.

Примечание: Эта версия игры включает в себя неофициальные поправки от Wesp5. Полный неофициальный патч, включающий в себя фанатский контент, можно скачать на сайте Patches Scrolls.

Riewell: Всё уже не так печально, как рассказывали ранее?
Я пару-тройку лет назад проходил родную 1.2 версию и в целом обошёлся без багов. Встретился только один, в конце, с неоткрывающейся дверью, и с помощью интернета решил его без дополнительных установок.

Alachomor: Неплохо бы указывать об этом в новостях или на страничке с игрой, иначе люди незнакомые с игрой, будут по сути ограничены в выборе по своему незнанию.

JudasIscariot: I tried out our version and we have the original 1.2 version (minus the SecuROM disc protection :) ) and I played the unpatched version under Wine and the game still looks as good today as it did back in the day :)
Would you recommend playing the legacy version or the patched one for the first time?

Back in the day I managed to finish the game without Wesp5's patch because I got it not long after it released. I finished the game with version 1.2 or maybe even without the last official patch, not sure.

I recommend that people try the Legacy version first unless they have compatibility issues or they want widescreen.

I also recommend that people research Wesp5's Basic Unofficial Patch, read what it changes, and decide if they wish to play the game with the unofficial patch :)

И Russian-speaking community would be insulted. Не поймёт, в общем. Точнее, поймёт, но, полагаю, с большим трудом, чем английский, как более привычный вариант.

P. S. Могу и ошибаться. В действительности, неизвестно, сколько людей из сообщества владеет английским на должном уровне. Да и про остальных не стоит забывать, даже в реальной жизни у меня есть знакомые, учившие немецкий и французский вместо "распространённого мирового "всемирного"".

Well, it's a matter of respect, in my opinion. Just because I cannot write or speak in a given language does not give me the right to butcher it via machine translation :)


Also, as I said before, I've translated Russian -> English before (obviously :P) and I can barely understand the translated result so I cannot imagine what machine translated Russian must look like.

The closest in meaning would be "не за что". Of course, there are many other ways to say something like that depending on (in)formality.
