The title pretty much says it all.

To be more precise, by an update, I mean that GOG should add a patch that changes the game from version 1.0 to 1.2.

Now, does this patch exactly do? Well, while the description mostly talks about Multiplayer, there is one thing it fixes for Singleplayer campaign. It fixes the Guadalcanal Hidden Objectives, thus allowing the player to get all the medals for this Campaign.

I know because I had a chance to test it in practice. I still have this patch, but the problem is, it doesn't see the GOG version of the game.

Which is why I think GOG should acquire it and enable to their version of the game. I am pretty sure many players will Thank GOG for that,

Nie sądzę. Ponieważ wspomniany Glicz z Kampanii na Guadalcanal wciąż jest aktywny. A po spaczowaniu znikał.

So, I´m currently playing through the game, and I concur. Despite the version being shown as 1.2, the Guadalcanal medal bug is there (and I hate it)...

Has anyone by any chance figured out how to apply the patch? (also, is there a way to check the game version apart from what GOG Galaxy states?)

I was planning on playing this game again after 15 years. Are you completely sure that 1.2 patch solve the Guadalcanal medals bug? Because I never found anything about that on the web. Seems no one cares about that. This is the only Q&A that seems to find a workaround. I own the original boxed copy of the game so I will probably be able to install the patch but I need to be sure that the 1.2 solve the bug. I wonder why the GOG 1.2 version of the game still has the bug. Why should they write 1.2 while maybe it is 1.0 or 1.1? A friend of mine has the GOG version and was disappointed by the bug. Maybe I can test the box version so I can confirm what are you saying.

I can confirm that the boxed version of the game with the 1.2 patch solve the Guadalcanal medals bug. I dont know why the GOG version says it is 1.2 while actually is 1.0 and why you can't install the patch on this version. I will post an image as soon as I can.
