Every time I launch Galaxy 2.0, I get an error that reads: "Essential components needed to start GOG Galaxy are missing or incorrectly configured. If this continues, please reinstall the application."

Galaxy usually still starts after the message appears, but it definitely seems to be taking longer now. I'm wondering if uninstalling and reinstalling Galaxy 2.0 will reset all my tags, as I have quite a number so far and it would be a monumental pain to start over.

It shouldn't, because tags and media changes are saved on GOG's servers, not on your local machine. But if I were you, I'd wait for a more official response. :)

Library art for GOG games, manually added games and library tags are all saved on their servers. Personally, I've reinstalled Galaxy quite a few times over the past few months and I never lost anything.

Bookmarks and connected accounts are not saved however and will need to be readded/connected.
