I'm using GOG Galaxy 2.0.80 on multiple PC's.

I have never in my life used a program that is as bad as GOG Galaxy for checking updates.

It should take about 3 seconds to check the version and come back with you have the latest update, or proceed with updating if not.

Every time I check for update it just shows "Checking for Galaxy updates" forever, while under the gear icon just spins in circle endlessly.

This happens on every PC I have, whether Windows 10 or Windows 11.

Does everyone else not experience this same thing, or is it really just me?

Can't say I've had that issue, or if I had I just uninstalled and downloaded the current version from the website.

I've seen the same behavior for ages. But I tried it just now and it reported no updates available after a few moments.

GOG Galaxy updates aren't frequent enough that I ever need to check for updates manually. The automatic update check does the job just fine.
Same issue here actually: the update check always freezes.
To add insult to injury they start spamming e-mail with a notice that they want you to update GoG Galaxy.

Even if you follow the instructions in that stupid e-mail, it won't work because the update process is broken.
