I apologize if this has already been addressed, but I'm unable to find any similar topics. I love Galaxy 2.0 so far, because I'm all about one-stop shopping, but there are a few games that I was unable to find in the listing to add them manually. If you're curious, they are as follows:

Gay Cats go to Weird Weird Woods
Ib
Mathventure
Mega Man 7 (the 8-bit demake)
Oh Joes! (Mega Man fangame)
Space Funeral: Earth Birth (OG is listed)
Subarashi
Super Size Switchers
Yume Nikki 3D

Most of these are fangames or obscure indie games made by friends of mine, and I don't expect GOG to add every single RPG Maker project ever conceived; I was quite impressed by the things that I did find in their selection. My question is whether there is an option to add these small, obscure projects to our library. I've seen the Dummy option, but I don't know if that ties to a specific thing, which would make it less than ideal to add 9 or more games under the Dummy option. Any insight?

Short answer: not really. It has to do with how GOG add those games manually, relaying a very good (but not totally comprehensive) gaming database. From the stickied FAQ:

Can I manually add games to the library

Yes and No: As long as the game is present in gogs game database (which has no relation the catalog of games gog sells) you just need to search for the game, and link an executable to it.
It is currently unknown whether it will be possible in the future to add game without a database entry or not.

Game X is not showing up in the Global Search so I can't add them manually', what now ?

Possible known reasons:
- The game is not in the database GOG is using.
- The game is in the database, but it can be classified as an 'add-on' or as a 'standalone release' for another game. GOG's search function somehow misses those (BUG).
- The game is in the database, but sometimes the search behaves oddly ("if the search form finds a title that "exactly" matches the searched words, it will list only that", credit to Plokite_Wolf). For example, to find the game 'No One Lives Forever 1', you have to start typing by its prefix 'The Operative'. I consider that a BUG.

At any case, I suggest instead of trying to add those games to the game database GOG uses (or we strongly assume they use) yourself, I'd suggest you open a 'report issue' ticket, listing all those games you can't find and wait. And wait for the best. :)

Exception of two of them I looked up from the ones you mentioned, possibly not covered in my other post...

- Ib
It IS in the database ( https://www.igdb.com/games/ib ) and it's not related to any known bug, so I can't see why GOG's global search doesn't find it. Has anyone ever add a game with a single word with 2 letters? :)

- Subarashi
If you search for Subarashii (with an extra 'i'), then a few games show up... I assume you already considered that?

The "standard" for search functions is to start searching when the string is three letters long. When you enter one or two letter into the global searchs textfield Galaxy starts to search the local database, but as soon as you type a third letter Galaxy starts to use the outside catalog. You can circumvent that by using wildcard like * or ? .

To clarifiy: Galaxy will show the game in the result list, when you use "ib*" as search term.

Thanks! So, I guess using Dummy for all of them isn't the greatest idea. For now, I can live with having a few in my start menu, since that's where GOG Galaxy is, too. You've given me a great deal of insight into how this works, though.

In theory, in time, I think we we won't need any 'dummy's (which I don't recommend) and/or workarounds... it's my understanding they are all bugs anyway, even those related with the database. They'll keep getting fixed by GOG (or their devs friends) in time, hopefully. But yeah, at least you know what's going on. :D Cheers.

(keep in mind none of us are related with GOG - except the blue ones here and there hehe - we are just people in beta trying to help each other!)
RPG Maker MV and possibly all others won't connect but I do own them in Steam and I do see them in the list. Syncing does not work and can not connect manually. Please fix.
