For about three or four days I've been having a problem with starting the client. Every so often, apparently at random it will become stuck at Launching GOG Galaxy forever.

It does not register as frozen in task manager and the purple, circular indicator keps turning around. Trying to close and restart results in the window disappearing, but the app does not seem to start at all after that. Even "Launching GOG Galaxy" window does not appear anymore.

Trying to shut it down via task manager leaves some unresponsive GOG related processess. Trying to interact witha client caused windows to reguster it as not responsive, then it failed to force close it - grayed out window is still visible and cursor goes into "Processing" shape when hovered over it, GOG app can no longer be closed via task manager.

Resetting my PC encounters troubles - windows does shut down but the computer remains slightly powered (mouse laser is turned on, CD tray can be opened and closed) whenever I encounter this problem, it requires manually finishing the shut down by holding power button.
For me it even dont launch anything , just nothing happen...
Hi.

Anyone still having this issue ?
This happens 50% of the time, forcing me to shut down my computer by hand. It's insanely frustrating.
At least if I could kill the process that would be ok...
I don't know if this'll fix anything but try looking in at your Services portion of Task Manager to see if the GalaxyClientService and GalaxyCommunication entries are listed as "Running" while you try to start Galaxy. Sometimes, services don't start when they should and that can cause problems when they're tied to a specific application.

Hi, thanks for your suggestion but I'm 99% they are running when this occurs. (I'll double dheck next time just in case)
I can kill all tasks except for LogGalaxyClient (or a name close to this one), which prevents me from shutting down correctly the computer. :/

That's odd, I've never even seen that process running before. The only thing I can suggest other than that is to get in contact with GOG support and see if they can figure it out for you!
