Hey guys, how can i stop GOG Galaxy always going in the foreground each time i run a game ? i just want it to sit in the background and stop bothering my screen.

Do you mean it's stealing focus (appearing on top of the game after you've launched it)? If so, I've never heard of that issue before. I launch games from the Play button in GOG Galaxy, and it stays in the background.

If you install a game via GOG Galaxy, then the shortcuts will launch GOG Galaxy -- that's normal.

If you'd like GOG Galaxy to always stay minimized, then I'm not sure there's a way to do that. You can try fiddling with NirCmd, which lets you minimize or hide the window without interacting with it.

I just want it to stay out of my way (but still giving me game updates). It's always getting in my way when starting a game.
GOG Developers should consider taming it down because it's very annoying.

If you're talking about notifications (little pop-up messages), you can go to Settings - Notifications and turn off chat messages and anything related to friends, while leaving Installing/Updating Status enabled.

You can't disable notifications for achievements and items on your wishlist going on sale. You can currently only do that by disabling the Overlay altogether under Settings - Game Features.
