Got email from you claiming Epic Game Store is official now.
Not seeing it in the official section as the email states, only seeing it in the unofficial section as normal.

Disconnected unofficial integration and restarted, didnt make any difference.

Anything I'm supposed to do?
Same here. I disconnected from Epic (which crashed the plugin). Closed Galaxy. Deleted the community plugin from %localappdata%\GOG.com\Galaxy\plugins\installed. Restarted Galaxy. I still see the community plugin available on the list, even though the files are gone. There is no Official integration listed. Please advise.

EDIT: While I was typing this, Galaxy came up with a new patch, even though I patched yesterday as well. Once this patch installed, the official Epic integration is now showing. So if you don't have it yet, maybe clean up your community integration folder, and then leave Galaxy running for a few minutes till it patches.

You don't have to manually clean up your community integration folder, just wait for the Galaxy update.

I for one, will never integrate any of my game clients with Epic Games. This tells me that soon enough GOG will make GOG Galaxy mandatory. In essence that means GOG will no longer be DRM-Free.

This is insulting to say the least. I see the future and it is GOG-Less.

All of my GOG games are already downloaded and burnt to discs. It was a good ride but it's an easy decision.

Best wishes everyone, but I will not follow the herd off the cliff.

Really ? Is that all you got ?

Care to elaborate in your infinite wisdom ?

Did I insult your feelings on the matter ? Did I call you names ?

Children these days, wow.

Just wait and see. Then maybe we'll talk again.

Until then, keep BustaCappin' .....smh. Have a wonderful day.

You know you could just... not use the epic integration and just keep downloading your games manually, right?
I'm honestly not that convinced about the success of galaxy 2.0 anymore, but boycotting GOG for partnering up with the company of a big gaming launcher for a project about combining gaming launchers is a strange train of thought to me.
Doesn't mean GOGs will drop its standards for their own games.
I'm with Gergo66 on this too. I choose not to use GOG anymore, a company that now condones the way Epic continues to conduct its business practices.
It is the principle of the matter.
I'm looking elsewhere for my drm-free games.

Enjoyed the ride so far, now getting off the ride before it breaks.

So long GOG and thanks for all the fish.
There seems to be a misunderstanding here. I am in no way condoning a boycott of GOG, I love GOG. I'm just saying that when and if GOG decides to make GOG Galaxy mandatory, then I will not remain.

I've spoken with a few friends who agree with me, as we have far too many game "clients" already. We flock to GOG because we do not wish for anything that even resembles gaming clients such as Steam, Origin, Uplay, etc. etc.

This is solely MY OPINION. To each their own though. I'm not here for an argument. I'm just expressing my opinion.

Your post sounded very much like that too me. I'm also not in for a lengthy discussion, I get the fear of GOG changing towards what seems to be todays standard. But I think they just try to combine to advantages of these standards with the freedom of what they offer, which is not an easy task and I appreciate them trying to, even if I don't agree with everything they do.
But like I said, I get that. Let's hope they won't force users to use launchers. Cheers.
