When I try to download some offline installer through Galaxy, at the top right it will say the download failed: server problem. This sometimes happens when trying to download the offline installers right after they are updated, but it usually resolves itself in a few hours. A couple of weeks ago, the Blackwell series of games by Wadjet Eye were updated, but I still can not get any of them to download. I tried to contact support several days ago, but all I had was a useless chat with some bot, which eventually said it would forward the chat log to a human. The downloads remain broken, and I have not heard back from support.

Their offline installers are a scan; prime example, ArmA Cold War Assault 513MB download fails at 435GB; 2GB files also fail at varying points, regardless of on my ISP or someone else's. Best to not pay any more for such willful negligence on GoG's part (this is far way from something new at this point).
I eventually got an automated reply to my support request apologizing for the long delay, with a link to the how do I download my purchases support page. I replied to keep the ticket open and included a list of other games I had since discovered weren't working also. I received another reply, supposedly from a human, but it seemed automated or copy pasted and included the same link and they closed the ticket and marked it as resolved.

I just downloaded ArmA Cold War Assault, through Galaxy and my browser, and it downloaded from both just fine.

I have never had problems before with downloading offline installers through Galaxy. I prefer to use Galaxy to download offline installers and extras because it's faster and more reliable than downloading through a browser. It's one click to get all of the extras, and the same for large games, one click to get all parts.

At first I thought it was just the Wadjet games. They all received updates "recently" (well it's going on 3 months now since the updates), around the same time, and none of them will download through Galaxy. I can download them through a browser. They're one part and fairly small, so it's not a problem. I just hope it doesn't start happening to larger games. It's not just the Wadjet games though. I've discovered a few other games that won't download. The only thing in common is it seems to be happening with small games (<100MB to ~500MB) that have been updated within the past ~3 months.

Since I originally posted, two of the games, Gemini Rue and Blackwell Episode 1 now download through Galaxy, but the rest still wont.

I've been downloading games that are finished and not receiving updates anymore. A few days ago, I downloaded two game's offline installers through Galaxy, one 30GB and one 20GB. Today I downloaded two more at 15GB and 25GB. No problem with either of those, but they were last updated 9 months to a year or more.
Not using Galaxy, but can confirm that offline installer downloads are failing more often than usual for me.
Same thing is happening here, not using galaxy, got a large library and it's a real pain in the ass to download anything, without having corrupted files via FDM, unfinished files via browser, and 1 game out of 10 from gogcligui. Please GOG, do something. I mean something else than pointing to galaxy. It shouldn't (and wasn't in the past) be that cumbersome to download our games.
For me, Galaxy is a major issue now. The last game I installed successfully was The Witcher back in December. I tried to install games yesterday and the popup window for the install simply fails. Updates also fail and claim my installations are corrupted when the files haven't been touched. I've attempted to verify my games as suggested via the website. I suppose I'll try uninstalling and reinstalling Galaxy, though at this point I'm considering just cutting my losses and simply ceasing usage of GOG altogether.

Since I am now stuck downloading offline installers to play the games for which I have legitimately paid, and I am reading this topic, it seems it is even more reason for me to just stop using this service. Unfortunate, but there are plenty of alternatives.

I hope that GOG fixes this, especially considering they've had loyal customers since their inception.

At this point it's clear to me that this platform doesn't GAF about it's customers to not rectify such and enduring and outstanding malfunction with their offline downloading process.
