kpmmoore: if it's not the patch then why did previous versions all work fine? they definitely broke something this time as my gog galaxy client has always been installed on my c drive.
ussnorway: as i said Microsoft treats the patch as a new build of Galaxy so its not trusted, which is the default setting on your OS btw
having Galaxy on your C drive is fine just not c program files... i would uninstall Galaxy, make a new folder like C Galaxy or C Gog and install Galaxy to that
its no skin off my nose but you posted an error message and that is what it is telling you went wrong... good luck mate
That would be temporary solution, but ridiculous in this day - I'll leave it where it is.
'\Program Files\' is what the installer recommends when it is run during installation so i guess they should just leave it blank and have the user enter an alternate path to install since their app isn't trusted by Microsoft from here on.
