I have a some fringe, tiny studio and tinier fanbase games. now I understand you can't account for every game out there, but I wonder if there is a way to skip the "search for any game and" step of manually adding games and just, you know, manually install a game. I'd very much appreciate it.

Games are linked to an unique ID to recognize them, so they must be present in the database.

You can anyway do this:

- select a game entry that you will never use
- check it as OWNED
- LINK it to the executable of the game you want to run
- EDIT the profile page to change Title and Images

Some of the info can't be changed, like the type of game or the Publisher, but in the end you will have an entry in your library with the right pictures and the right title that will launch the right game.
