This is planned right? Without that feature there's no reason to use this launcher. It's hyped as the all in one gaming platform and yet... I launch Rocket League with Steam closed and it opens Steam... :(

As it is right now, it would be just having ANOTHER launcher open which is so counter productive! I was so hyped when I saw I was chosen for the beta... but... chosen for what? The main draw isn't even functioning. There's no point.

If you guys can't get that working you may as well scrap the entire idea. No one wants 1000 launchers. Hell no one even wants a SINGLE launcher but if that single launcher can launch your games from any other launcher without needing to... you know... launch that launcher... jeez... you get what I'm saying right?
from what I understand, yes you need the launcher installed and it will open the launcher when you launch the game, but there is a setting that closes the launcher when you exit the game. It's pretty handy. they can't just make the other launchers not launch.
the way it works right now is exactly the way its meant to work. the idea is to only have this one launcher open and have an overview over all your games. when you want to play a game from another service, it starts that launcher and closes it again after you quit playing.
maybe you shouldve actually read into what you were signing up for :P
While it would be nice to launch a game without ever seeing a hint of the actual launcher it's from, I doubt that will happen. At least, not for most launchers, as their DRM is baked into the experience pretty hard. However, there is still much to be gained from having a launcher for your launchers, as it may be. I've found it increasingly difficult to keep track of what games I even own when they're spread across 7 different locations. Since I got into the beta, I can actually view what I own in a single library, with a consistent UI and experience. Without GOG, I would have to manually remember what launcher I own a game on, open the launcher and click play on the game. With GOG, I can just click play and the rest is done for me, expediating the process. That is enough to keep me using this product. If it isn't enough for you, then not much can really be done. But there are still benefits to be had here. Although, it would definitely be nice to one day skip the launchers entirely, I find that an unrealistic expectation.
