I get this box for several seconds that covers up important parts of the screen and it has led me to die in game many times in the game I am playing. I do not see the point in spam that lets me know what game I am playing. I am not that stupid, almost, but not quite. Anyway, thanks for letting me know if there is a way. I'm also a streamer and have to minimize a lot to modify settings with streamlabs etc. Annoying there too.

Or better yet, can I play the games without running galaxy? I only recently started buying games from them, the last time was long ago and they didn't have this, or it was way different. Can I just install to my pc, and not have it tied into galaxy. Guess they are trying to be like Steam...

What popup exactly do you mean? I only remember a popup shortly after starting a game but I don't know how you could die at that point.

However, you can of course still download all your games manually and play them without GOG Galaxy. Just go to your games section on the website, click the desired game and download all parts of it.

Thanks. I'll look into the manual dl. It takes a few seconds to pop up, so I out of habit unpause the game and play. 3-4 seconds after, the spam pops up, hogs icons I need to click on. I can pause anytime in the game and I haven't been in the habit of the spam (I probably am now tho) so I unpause, get attacked etc and can't fight back due to the spam that last more than a few seconds, few meaning 3 or 4 seconds. It's more than that. I said several meaning around 7 seconds. I nerded out and am splitting hairs admittedly, but just to let other know, I timed it. It's 6.5 seconds lol. That might not sound like much, but those seconds add up to more and more frustration. I use a lower res, so the pop up is maybe larger than other people's screens. Besides dying, it's just annoying and not needed for me. I would like to get rid of it, so thanks for a solution.

You got me curious^^ Can you maybe post a screenshot of that popup or describe what it exactly says?
I still have no clue what it might be. Maybe there's a way to turn it off.
