I guess that Galaxy is saving my EU2 saves to the cloud?

After starting the game and familarizing myself with it, I decided to restart on 'NORMAL - NORMAL' and want to delete my saves from the earlier game. I cannot find them, and cannot figure how to get to the cloud to look there. I think I'd rather save on my own computer -- any disadvantage to that? How do I shut off the cloud save option?

Thanks for reading and for suggestions/ help.

TU Norway, I appreciate your reply.

I wound up deleting the Galaxy version of EU2 and downloading the backup game files from GOG and installing the game from that. The saves from the Galaxy version are gone, and the newly installed game saves to my PC.

there are major sync issues with Gog but i'm happy you got your game working

to answer the other part of your question [see image] you can tell Galaxy not to sync saves on a game configer page

out of interest are you using Windows 10?

Win 11 -- right up to date.

I was wrong: my saves (playing the game as installed by the back-up install files) do not seem to be anywhere on my PC where I can find them and delete those I no longer want. This is driving me CRAZY. Where are they? I can load from the EU2 start menu, but cannot find them anywhere on the PC to delete. (I did succeed -- apparently -- in shutting off the save-to-cloud option in Galaxy, but that seems irrelevant here.

On a different topic (same game): if you can help me with my discovering Bermuda w/ an explorer query, I'd appreciate. (That post is under EU topic heading.)

Thanks!
ok Eu2 is a dozbox so Gog puts the save games in the same location as you installed the game to... it will be in a folder called Senarios so something like D Gog game/ EU2/ Scenarios/ save games

note W11 requires D-play to be installed before it will play any dozbox game and of course installing it will break the install setup so the first time you try to run the game it will ask for D-play and you say yes then quit the game and restart it

Bermuda counts as a land so needs your conquistador... send him with an army [actually land them] and then let him explore while you sail off to do something else

AFAIK, this game does not come shipped with DOSBox.

Ideally, the saves are supposed to be in the main game folder.

Alternatively, in Microsoft's infinite wisdom, it may sometimes be sent to your user folder in a folder through ...AppData\Local\VirtualStore\ProgramFiles (x86)\
