Hi all, I am on the latest build of Galaxy from the website but Galaxy keeps telling me there is a patch available (2.0.40).
Though looking at the bottom of my settings window it says i am on version 2.0.40.1.
I did click on the checkbox for public betas (it was unticked) thinking i could refresh Galaxy or something, which appeared to do nothing and now it is greyed out so i cannot untick it.

It appears i am on the beta channel, which i don't want now and there is no way to change it back and i do not want to uninstall Galaxy in case it deletes all my games.

Why does Galaxy keep telling me there is an update? when i try to update from within Galaxy this fails every time and prompts me to visit the website to download the latest version, which i did, but it still says there is an update but wont install.

I have run Galaxy as Administrator just in case but the same result every time.
My games seem to work fine for me at the moment, i am just getting annoyed by this pop up every time i open Galaxy to install a non existent update!

Has anyone else had this and if so, how did you get rid of it? I either want OUT of the Beta (which i can't figure out how to do) or find a way to install this update it keep telling me about.

Thank you for your time.

2.0.40.1 is the current latest build

there is a tick box for beta testing under general [see image] yes the ui is busted because there is no actual beta and everyone is in the same boat because Project red doesn't give a fuck about their customers and needs everyone on the same Galaxy build in order to promote the SteamFuck game

if you do a fresh install of Galaxy then you can change settings before it syncs online but otherwise you are stuck on the beta now... just to be clear, again it doesn't matter anyway

Thanks for your reply.
Guess i will stick with the non existent beta then!
As you've noticed, the checkbox for "public betas" is currently blocked. Keep your eyes on GOG GALAXY changelog, as we'll bring it back to function again.

Name of the checkbox might be a bit misleading, as GOG GALAXY since version 2.0 is named as "beta" - so I'll try to clear it up for you. :)

- Public betas checkbox - should give you early updates for features, it might be used more in near future. Currently it's the same GOG GALAXY version for everyone.

- GOG GALAXY 2.0 beta versioning - all GOG related functionalities of the app are considered stable and NOT beta. Functionality added with 2.0 version of importing your other platform's games - we still consider it to be beta.

Hay Johny, thanks for your helpful post, my apologies for the delay in replying.

Since the last update for Galaxy the problem has now gone away and all is well.
Thanks again
