I bougt the Chaos Space Marine for Warhammer Gladius (on gog.com), but it does not install.

I can download the manual installer under extras, but the Galaxy client itself does not install it. Also, I like the new client, but in general miss the overview of what DLC I have installed for a game or still can install, it was really easy with the old client.

As far as I know you still have to manually install the EXE you downloaded, support for Galaxy-driven DLC installation is an upcoming feature. I believe an overview of DLCs is also planned.

Into the game screen, right the "play" button you can press "manage installation" and then "configure". If all is correct, you should see what dlcs you own, close to the "always upgrade to newest version". if you tick one of the dlc it should be enabled.

The option is a bit obscure, indeed, and I guess that it will be changed in the future to something more convenient and more visually appealling. Or at least something with more visibility.
Obscure is hardly the term for it - bizarrely well hidden and completely daft come to mind! If you buy DLC on GOG and the Galaxy client knows this, why doesn't it default to having them selected rather than assume you paid but don't really want to play with them unless you can search the internet to find the obscure solution?

A simple fix and no doubt urgently needed.

And thanks for the help! I would still be waiting for my DLC otherwise.

Holy ###, thank you so much!!
This is beyond stupid.

You - the unknown GOG emplyee who came up with this shit - please jolly congratulate yourself on landing such a job while being equipped with no brain cells.

This "feature" is absolutely insane. Way too unintuitive to use content we pay for.

Well, insane shouln't be the perfect word. It is just right click a game cover, and select "Manage installation / Configure".

Would it be more convenient access with a click instead of two? Maybe. And a more atractive way of showing them? Of course.

But consider it insane is a bit insane.
the word is fine in the way he has used it i.e, from a user point of view

1, having Dlc auto install [by default] is ok for most gaming ui systems... after all the guy has just payed $ for it so assuming he wants it installed isn't that odd

2, having the user tick a box first is less a user thing and more about covering their ass... the real problem with this is that people have to first 'find' the F%^&ing box and that is just bad design from the Galaxy dev team

make the tick box easy to find... hell have it auto popup to say 'you payed for Dlc, so do you want to install it? [yes \ no]' would cover both sides

even a clear readme from Gog showing step by step 'how to' for using Galaxy would help people get used to Galaxy

the bottom line is Gog has done a piss poor job of selling this beta Galaxy software, they don't talk to their users and they will hurt their profits if they don't wake up soon because even people that like it are finding it hard to defend some days ;)
Personally I like the method of keeping the DLC disabled by default. But yeah. Obviously to keep that principle useful and having sense, things should have been done in a different way.

The informative window/popup after the DLC being downloaded could be a nice option. But even better could be redo it entirely and show the list of DLCs in the main Game Screen with its covers, info, tick buttons etc.
