Just tried playing a game I got from GOG. It's now no longer worth it. Gog insists on turning "OFF" my sound (every sound). I have to reboot to get it back. Gog has zero support for the useless, and awful system it had inflicted on its customers (it would be better to leave peoples computers settings alone, it is my computer). Gog Galaxy is worse than useless. It actually is harmful to your computer. I write this on the forum because there is no way to contact Gog (which is how they planned it). They have now crossed over into being a complete scam. Gog was nice for a while, now it's dead. It just hasn't fallen over yet. Just another example of a company that hates its customers. I will rejoice the day it goes bankrupt.

I can confirm this isn't true. At the top of the page where I'm reading this, is a header labelled "support" and when i clicked it, there's a drop-down list which includes "GOG Galaxy" - that's one option for where to send reports, and inside the Galaxy 2.0 app is a feedback/reporting/support function which also lets you report problems. I don't use Galaxy 2.0 because reverting to the last known stable version (1.2.x) is a much more sensible option while the "current" version is still very obviously in an obnoxiously unstable state not worthy of being pushed live the way it has been.

I've currently got an ongoing/pending support request that I've been trying to keep active since July 2020, so I can't say their support is any GOOD, but they do provide ways to get in touch with them. Not sure if that excessive timeline improves matters or makes them worse, but what you're claiming not to exist, is very obvious and easy to find in multiple places.
More details on the issue could be useful... I can't imagine the crossing of events that could make Galaxy choose to turn off the sounds.

What kind of services are active on Galaxy ?

The only thing that I can think about that could deal with the system sounds is the the Overlay, but I don't use it, so I'm not sure what options it have.

So far it hasn't happened since I got rid of Galaxy. Also it was only happening when playing a game from GoG.
Thanks for your reply.
