Don't know if it's just me, but from time to time the GOG Galaxy aplication comes up front, minimizing the game I was playing no matter what. It is really annoying (doesn't matters if it's a game launched from other gaming platform app). It started after the "add other gaming platforms" update, some time ago. Tried that feature for a couple days but then disconnected all my accounts from it because the app keeps syncronizing forever ever X time and I thought that was the problem

I only launch the app when I want to play a game from their library, then I have to closed it to be able to use my PC normally.... but I'm about to uninstall the app and just download my GOG games the old fashion way. I really liked the client, but can't be used this way. Is there a solution? I already disabled overlay and all notifications.

Yes, this is happening to me, too. The app just pops up randomly throughout the day. Whether I'm working on a project or just browsing, the app will suddenly fill up the entire screen. Extremely annoying.
Yes same, and super annoying when i'm inside a game..

It seems to be something triggering it, the sync maybe ?
Still happening, it's the only app doing that. Seems it will stay like that so, Uninstalling the app will solve the issue. Too bad, the app was useful

jumping to the front happens when the ui is set wrong

it is common with older OS like Windows 7 or old builds of Windows 10 and the best fix is to upgrade your OS but it is also possible to configure games to stay on top by disabled Galaxy notices
I'm using Windows 10 with the latest patches installed. Also disabled all notifications, overlay, everything. Even when minimized to tray it keeps happening. It doesn't happen with any other app I have installed on my system, only the GOG client and it was really annoying. Already uninstalled it and don't think I'll ever install it again.
are you running screen cap software or porting to a 2nd device like a TV \ iphone?

have you tryed using the older Galaxy 1 instead?
No screencap soft or anything. And no, haven't tried going back to Galaxy 1, didn't knew you can do that, may search how to do it. Can't remember if it had cloud saving, that and easy patching are the main reason I'll use a client...

Galaxy 2 was working great until the "add other accounts" got implemented (don't use that feature, tried it once and found it really annoying so I disabled everything)
This is still an issue, it keeps doing it every single day.

StikElLoco: This is still an issue, it keeps doing it every single day.
Just tried it some days ago to see if still an issue and yes, still an issue. I'm commited on not buying anything more from GOG because of that. Even EpicGS, a new player, is doing better IMHO (because they care)
Yeah, this is really annoying. Currently trying to play through Cyberpunk and it just keeps minimising the game and popping up to the front causing me to die many times so far as it happened during combat.
Still happening, still f'ing annoying.
So that's what is causing this!

I have been looking into Win 10 issues with notifications, check I do not have any background services slipped in with Win 10 updates (you never know these days), checked its not a Windows key combination triggering "Ease of access" or sticky keys events, sent Hellogames a bug report thinking it was the latest update to No Man's Sky, I also do not need to go switching everything off in GOG Galaxy because I do that as a matter of routine (it's becoming bloatware when all I want it to do is launch / update the game and occasionally allow me to participate in those new NMS Expedition updates).

Happens for me about 3 mins and 40 seconds after loading No Man's Sky, NMS minimises, also again a few hours later.

Annoying. Will revert to just using the Offline Backup Installers and get rid of the damned thing.

I just want to note that we're seeing this. It seems not a lot of users are affected by that, but if you are it constantly reproduces for you.

If you have any additional information about why you think that might happen, or what helps to prevent this situation for you - please respond to this post and tell. :) or write me a direct message gog.com/u/Johny./chat
Started happenning to me a few months ago whenever gog is open.

Tried with overlay enabled/disabled, same thing.

It may have something to do with notfications. The last few times it happenned, I noticed there was new game notifications in my activity (achievement, game time reached).
