So GoG made a promotion for getting The Witcher 3 for free, either the normal or GOTY edition.

They specifically said that PS4 owners of the game could also get a copy of the game by connecting their PSN games.

But connecting to PSN network is not working and so a lot of people missed the deal.

We should also mention that this issue persisted for more than 7 months ever since the first integration of PSN to GoG, yet GoG did not fix the issue and proceeded normally with the promotion as if everything was fine.
They did not even addressed the issue on their Twitter or anywhere else stating that PS4 owners should be aware of that.

So some days ago I have tried to contact them and got two automatic messages that actually said completely nothing other than "trying connecting to PSN later".
Of course this did not work.

Then some days later I contacted them again and I got this infuriating message telling me to go and fix the issue by myself and that it might not even work...!

And again they didn't say anything on their Twitter on how PS4 users could fix the issue even by posting the message I was sent by their support.

Just infuriating...

This just ain't right.
GoG should just extend the promotion for all PS4 users who missed the deal!

Of course there were countless issues reported here and on Twitter

Same thing happened to me. Put my ticket in and nothing. Not even an email acknowledging it. Really bad impression left, don't think I'll be using gog again.

It is a reason not to use GoG, I completely understand mate.
If they want to have our trust back they should bring back the promotion.
It is almost like a scam thing they did.
Couldn't connect either. Was very disappointed.

lets hope gog decides to make things right with the ps4 owners & fix the problem with linking gog galaxy to psn & then do the promotion again so all the ps4 owners who want a copy can get one just like everyone else who was able to claim a copy
Same thing, Connection timing out after pw and captcha constantly. So annoying and frustrating.

Thinking of deleting GOG asap and just run with Steam, EG and PSN.
GOG wont last very long if they keep doing this kinda stuff.
Same thing happened to me. I even tried the tip I found on a thread, saying I would need to update the plugin.py file with the current nsso value when I connect on PSN in my browser.

However, never seen the banner show up. Also, every time I would restart GoG, the connection would time out and I would have to restart it all over again. In short, no way of seeing if restarting the app like they said in their support section would work, since I couldn't stay connected
What's sad is that GOG haven't addressed the issue at all. It's been about a week since I reported my one, haven't heard anything back.

Instead I get an email asking me to connect all my networks to GOG Galaxy.

Honestly, even if they fix the issue, I'm not sure I'd want to connect my Steam & PS4 accounts now. Can the app be trusted if the developers don't respond to error reports?

i just got the witcher 3 game of the year i also got in contact with support & sent a photo proof that i own a copy of the witcher 3 & got a code so i could claim a copy after the new gog galaxy update allowed me to link my psn to gog galaxy so if any ps4 owners still want a copy they can try what i did & with any luck you will also get a copy of the witcher 3

I am unable to connect my psn to gog and lost out on the free months back. I deleted the app from frustration. I redownloaded to try your interface again and still have issues with this. will there ever be a fix?
I own the GOTY edition on PS4 and they gave me the standard edition. Opened a ticket on July, they responded after a month:

"Hello,
Apologies for the late reply.
Unfortunately, we can't assist you in claiming a GOG copy retroactively if the support request has been submitted after the promo ended. For future reference, please contact us earlier while a promo is still active. We are sorry for any inconveniences caused and wish you a pleasant day, nonetheless.

Best wishes"
