I posted about this on Reddit but wanted to make a post on the official forums because this would add a lot of value to Galaxy 2.0 for me.

I think it would be great if Galaxy 2.0 would keep track of your time played for games you have added manually to your library and have the time be displayed on your gog profile. For example, if I add Guild Wars 2 to my library and launch it from Galaxy 2.0, it will start tracking my time played and be shown on my gog profile along with all the other games from Steam etc.

Right now it's a little weird when you look at your profile and some games show your time played and some don't.

As for Xbox, some games keep track of time played right in the xbox achievements (and galaxy 2.0 pulls that play time info), but some games don't and it would be really cool if Galaxy 2.0 could see when your are playing an xbox game (sort of like discord) and keep track right on your gog profile. (again it looks a bit sloppy when going through your profile and some games have play time and some don't)

I used to use a program called x-fire and it would keep track of your play time for PC games, unfortunately they got bought and are shut down now. I think it would be awesome to have an all in one profile again that keeps track of all your play time in any game.
I saw that post on reddit and I'm here to give another updoot. This is definitely a feature I would be interested in.
I agree completely.
This is a feature that Steam is sorely lacking, it would be great to see Galaxy 2.0 implement it.

I feel like having the full feature set of Galaxy 2.0 available to all games, regardless of which platform they come from (including manually-added platformless games) should be a major goal of this combined launcher.

Yeah, then we could have profiles for things like Total Conversion Mods, like The Nameless Mod for Deus Ex, which are essentially full games but they aren't on any storefront.
This is definitely needed as combining launcher and stats tracking. For exmaple i got over 1000 unreal tournament hours, but most of them are played with DRM version. Adding your gametime manually is heavily needed and it gives no other purpose than record your own game times. You could even mark it as "manually edited" or "automatic tracked"
I actually thought this feature was already implemented, so I was a bit disappointed when I just realized it isn't. I agree that game time tracking should have no limits and it definitely feels weird to have some games showing game time while others don't. There is also something to be said about older games on their respective consoles or emulated.

It would be amazing if we could track time for individual games being emulated, that's a dream feature for me.
+1000.

Xbox 360 and Ps3,please.

yeah, this would be great. It always irked me how steam didn't show time or stats from family sharing games. Speaking of which - how to manually add games?

Having GTT enabled for manually added games should be coming in the next update.
Having GTT for platforms that don't support it natively (i.e some Xbox Games, some Uplay games etc.) has some more edge cases that we need to figure out first. But we're actively working on it.

Wow this is awesome news! And thank you for the informative reply!
My company is using employee tracking software called Workpuls. Very good and with low cost.

Really a great news. This and a nice gamer profil page are the most important features so I can switch complete from steam to galaxy.

How are the edge cases coming along?
