Absolutely needed.

Also addition:
The whole way tags are applied is a bit meh in general
I'd say that the current new Collection UI of Steam has 1000% more usability in terms of organizing games

How Steam create collections is better than tags, because I do not have to start it from a game I just create the collection.
Once that is done I can drag and drop games in and out of the collection which it is an unquantifiable amount of times better than having to right click and select a tag for each game

It does not have to look the same but they need to take a note on how that works.

I was really excited by Galaxy 2.0. It looks great and gives useful information on games (rather than sending you to a useless Community page. I'm looking at you, Steam).

But no user-defined categories? How am I supposed to organise my library? After all, that's the whole purpose of Galaxy?
Neeeeeeeeeed !!!!!!

I am having to go through my library and manually add a tag to all the games I also have from the pre-digital storefront era (IE, physical media) and all my physical media archived GoG games. Would be much easier just being able to select all the ones I have and add the tag to all of them.

please
I agree that this is needed. I would also love to be able to select multiple games at a time to hide/unhide them.
