If you guys used grid view in Steam in the past you probably used some of my work. Those were widescreen images, though, and both the new Steam beta and Galaxy 2.0 use vertical covers instead.

While Steam beta and Galaxy 2.0 use slightly different dimensions - Steam is a bit more narrow - it's easy to make images that are compatible with both. Basically, I make 600x900 dimension images (Steam-sized) but leave a little space at the top/bottom for where Galaxy will crop a bit. I've switched mostly to Galaxy personally but I figure why not make images that work for both?

Anyway, I made another simple website for uploading my stuff. I have over 100 games already. Many of these are games that are in my library that were lacking proper vertical covers in Galaxy. So you'll probably find some useful ones here. If you have requests you might want to drop those on the Galaxy covers reddit page. And the other big resource is Steamgrid Database, which now supports Galaxy images as well. And you will probably find that many Steam beta images work in Galaxy, too; just remember the top/bottom get cropped slightly.

Here some helpful links:

Steamgrid Reddit (many will also work in Galaxy)

Thank you so much for your work!

I found that some steam dimensions work on gog galaxy 2.0 almost perfectly (as long as the file size does not exceed gog's limitations).

Cheers!

(we should probably add some info and links - that works with gog rather than steam only, of course - in the stickied FAQ regarding that).
