Hi all

Not used GOG in several months,. my installed GOG version would not load. After i wanted to download a game i bought in GOG store online.

Tried to install new GOG client but it failed at the changlog part. so i used the gig uninstall exe file to get rid of client and instal fresh.

but again the Gog client will not instal and again errors on the changelog files. I tried to instal to other drives and on all tree i have same issue. it states access is denied on the pop up error window. but i had run as admin and have never encountered this problem before on any other client or game. and had also installed something else new recently with no issues.

so the issue has to be with the GOG install file itself either asking for permissions it should not be or the download is corrupt.

your account says from UK but the error message says 'Czech Republic'

1 possible causes : proxy server / vpn set wrong
2 the drive you are trying to install to is external i.e, a Usb drive
3 your permissions are set wrong

or you really are using Czech while living in the UK... this is only going to be an issue if the last time you installed Galaxy on that system was under a different account or language

Hello, No matter where you put it, GOG Galaxy needs to place its data files in the same spots.

Delete the following folders manually if they still exist:
C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy
%LocalAppData%\GOG.com\Galaxy

Download and run the latest full installer, which is currently setup_galaxy_2.0.83.4.exe.

If the problems persist, open a support ticket. I have changelogs in 15 languages, but Czech isn't among them. It's also not an option as the UI language.

i am in UK. i just downloaded from the main site the GOG_Galaxy_2.0 .exe file. it downloaded from the online browser. I dont have VPN used but i use opera browser. but it is set to UK.

when it installs that is the file it gets to as it extracts the contents. ive done nothing regarding languages.

I have since used your link. and it worked and it has loaded thank you.
