Okay, since I haven't found a thread on this issue yet:

Does anybody have problems linking their Steam account to Galaxy? I have been in the beta for almost 3 weeks now and I try every single day and still cannot connect it to Steam. It always says "offline".

Every other platform worked perfectly for me (excepting PSN, I don't have that) and I haven't even had any of the known issues so far, but Steam just does not work whatsoever.
No posts in this topic were marked as the solution yet. If you can help, add your reply
Strange, I had no trouble connecting my Steam account.

Are you using two factor authenticate?
did you recently change your password?
Please send over mantis report through the client. We'll check if it's caused by the client or it's down to faulty integration
Yes, I use two factor auth, no I haven't changed my password in years.

Over on the German forums, there was also one person with this exactly same problem.

I sent the report, will wait for now, thanks! :)

In case anyone has this issue as well, this is what the developers replied on mantis:

Thanks for submitting here - it looks like the steam integration is misbehaving.
I saw around dozen similar issues so hopefully the creators of the integration
will be able to address it soon. In the meantime please stay tuned and I hope
you will enjoy GOG Galaxy 2.0

So, let's just be patient for now! Thanks for your help anyway, loving the Galaxy so far! ^^

I have the same problem with Steam.
- 2FA active
- Password not changed since Galaxy 2.0 testing
- Steam "stable" and beta installed

In addition, I cannot link my XBOX account.
There, the load circuit only rotates continuously.

Same here. No matter whether it's on Windows 10, macOS 10.13.6 or macOS 10.14.5 - Login works just fine, yet Steam is shown as "offline" afterwards in the GOG Galaxy Settings.

I have 2FA enabled.

+1 for the Steam plugin crashing and not working since the new update
Had this problem since the Alpha. With the new plugin version 29.2. since today it works.
Removing the plugins and restarting GOG did the trick for me.

Go to the plugin folder and delete the plugin that starts with steam and relaunch GOG Galaxy. GOG Galaxy will be forced to download the plugin again.

Windows

%localappdata%\GOG.com\Galaxy\plugins\installed

macOS:

~/Library/Application Support/GOG.com/Galaxy/plugins/installed

edit: Workaround for not being allowed to post urls when you are clearly not posting a url: use the italic-bbcode on the dots!

Got those paths from https://github.com/gogcom/galaxy-integrations-python-api :D

COMODO Firewall 10 was my problem.
After I disabled him, GOG Galaxy connected to all services (Steam, Epic, PSN, Uplay, Origin).

This method did not work for me. Steam is still offline.
Also, I'm not running any firewalls except windows defender.
