Ice_Mage: Hello,
It's not obvious what the problem is. I suggest doing a clean reinstall.
1. Completely exit GOG Galaxy.
2. In File Explorer, enter
%ProgramData%\GOG.com\Galaxy into the address bar. Zip up the
logs folder and save the file somewhere like the desktop.
3. Back up the entire
%ProgramData%\GOG.com\Galaxy folder, then delete the original.
4. In File Explorer, enter
%LocalAppData%\GOG.com\ into the address bar. Back up the entire
Galaxy folder, then delete the original.
5. Uninstall GOG Galaxy.
6. Install both
vc_redist.x86.exe and
vc_redist.x64.exe.
7. Restart your system.
8. Install GOG Galaxy using
setup_galaxy_2.0.68.112.exe, which is currently the latest version of the full installer that doesn't download components from the Internet.
If at that point you're still having trouble,
1. Check the settings in your firewall or other security software. There are GOG Galaxy executables under both
C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy and
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\redists.
2. If the problem persists,
open a support ticket and attach the
logs folder you zipped up earlier.
Thank you icemage. i will try this procedure back home
