I am currently attempting to install the GoG Galaxy 2.0 client on a Windows 10 "Pro" operating system, but it loads around 10% then says "Unable to connect to GoG.com. Please check your internet connection." with a [Support Article] link that goes to a broken page.

I have tried as administrator to run it, I have tried turning off my firewall for the installer, two of the general resolving issues, but neither works. I have explored the forums here and gotten a few hits, but most contain links that do not work anymore either, or are for a different "connection" issue after initial installing.

I have the GoG Galaxy 2.0 client currently installed on a secondary older computer that's running windows 7 and it is running fine.

What other options do I have that I can attempt to get it installed onto my windows 10?

Okay for those of us with this issue: it seems the answer is an "offline installer" which can (at least currently) be found: (Seems I can't post Links, so search for Offline Installer on GoG forums should work, as that's where I found what I was looking for, when I figured out what I was actually looking for)

It will attempt to download from the browser, and will fail A LOT but each time, will get a LITTLE further, so you'll need to constantly attempt to retry downloading it from the browser, but it will finish eventually.

I have seen a few topics on this forum on GOG Galaxy 2.0 faling to launch for a few people. I myself had a similar issue yesterday when I tried to log in and got the message "Oops, something went wrong, bla, bla...". Here is a link to a discussion on the forums about downgrading to a previous version of the Galaxy client - I have tried this apporach and it worked beautifully for me:

https://www.gog.com/forum/general_beta_gog_galaxy_2.0/how_to_keep_galaxy_v12_client_and_avoid_the_forced_v20_beta_update/page1

If you follow the instructions to the letter, you can get back to all of your games and not have to worry about the client crapping out on you.
