I don't know who does already know this. But for over half a year "FriendsOfGalaxy" the one responsible for a lot of integrations like steam, ubisoft connect, origin, etc. is inactive. Because of his inactivity Pull requests do not get merged.
That leads to integration not getting Updates. I read that some guys wanted to take it over but didn't read anything more about that. Are there such plans? Also the Galaxy Team seems to not care that the integrations of the big gaming platforms aren't getting updates and probably getting unusable in the future. Right now the integrations for Ubisoft Connect and Rockstar seem to be already unusable without a workaround.

The only thing that I heard about was that some Integration maintainers and developers built a GitHub organization wich aims to sync al the different repos in one place and merge pull requests, but they still have some work to do.

Please GOG, get in touch with them!

There is still a lot of work to do on both sides, but there is a plan to replace FriendsOfGalaxy with the new GOG Nebula
