I'm not sure exactly what my connection is, but on Steam, I get a steady 7 MB/s with peaks to 8 and dips to 5 when downloading games, same with other clients.

Since the new update, my downloads in GOG Galaxy are a maximum of 0.3 MB/s or less.

So far, I tried this:

- resetting my router
- making a manual exception to the client in Windows firewall
- adding a scan exception to Windows Defender
- outright disabling firewall and Defender for a short time

and still my download speed stays at 0.3 MB/s.

I then tried using my Wi-Fi adapter and my phone as a hotspot and I got 5 MB/s.

Any ideas what could be wrong here?

EDIT: tried resetting my router one more time and it's normal now.

BTW, how can I delete my own thread on the forums?! :S

Yes, the software is garbage. Mine will spike to 14.0MB/sec and then drop to 0.3MB/sec. This 4.0GB game downloads in 4 minutes when I grab the offline installer. Not sure how many DAYS it's going to take through this Galaxy crap.

Such a feature does not exist here. Shows you how outdated the forum actually is.
