michaelleung: People shouldn't blame Facebook. Blame the developers! Facebook didn't sell info these companies, the DEVELOPERS did. To say "fuck Facebook" and whatnot only means you haven't read the article whatsoever.
Actually, Facebook have been taking flak for their crappy (lack of) privacy for a long, long time. I see no reason to give them an umbrella in this shitstorm.
I gave up using Facebook a long time ago as I could see where all these apps were leading. They have to make money somewhere and it's certainly not from microtransactions like they claim.

Tyler62092: Facebook has been going downhill since it opened the floodgates to the general public.

ie: I have 0 friends.
That's really not something to be proud of.

I keep everything set to private on Facepalm and only have 3 friends; who are people I actually know but live far away from me now. Facepalm is good for keeping in touch with long distance friends, but not much else.

Last time I checked, Battlefield Heroes was still doing gangbusters from their microtransactions.

Slight difference there is it's a proper game from a proper game publisher.
