Hello knowledgable, helpful community.

I recently bought Zombie Pirates from Gamersgate.
I was aware that it came with GOO drm.
From what I have read of goo, it didn't seem like that big a deal.

Unfortunately Goo won't authenticate my game.
I have emailed Gamersgate support, with no response (no real surprise there).
With a bit of help from Google, I found the dev's page:
http://www.dustdevilstudios.com/index.html
This gives a contact email of "sales@dustdevilstudio.com"
So I write to them.
My email bounced back with the following error:
"Technical details of permanent failure:
DNS Error: Domain name not found"

Can anyone help me get this game working?

GOO was developed by Stardock:
You could try their support forums.
Just got an email back from Stardock:

"You will have to wait for the other parties to assist you".

Actually that is a surprise as GamersGate tend to respond within 24 hours. As always, in cases like this I would suggest you use Twitter and contact @GamersGate to ask them there. They should be able to help with this problem as well as whatever problem has prevented you from getting a reply from their support.
This is the support page for GamersGate; http://gamersgate.kayako.com/
Submit a ticket for your problem.
BUT this is their announcement about the support service delay; http://gamersgate.kayako.com/News/NewsItem/View/10/support-service-is-delayed-due-to-an-increased-amount-of-requests

I submitted a ticket about another game, it took them 3 days to answer.
10 days now & still no useful communication from any of them.

How did you find out about that? The support link on the homepage still links here: http://www.gamersgate.com/support
Sorry, obviously it was way too late when I wrote this.

Have it from Steam, but ran into a problem as it wouldn't start at all, with no error message.
Seems it was missing the Microsoft XNA Framework Redistributable 3.1. After installing that, it worked.

No idea if this will work out for you too, but might be worth giving a shot.

When I installed Zombie Pirates, it appeared to install XNA framework.
Just to be on the safe side, I have tried downloading & installing it manually.
The game still won't run.

Rodzaju: snip
Ok, one last thing you could try: some guys mentioned a workaround for their problems, by installing the free demo from the dev's site, starting it up, exiting, removing it and then installing the actual game.

If that doesn't work, I'm outa clues. I would probably trying to step on GG's toes with another ticket...

I believe it takes you to the new site once you submit a ticket.
Finally got a response from GG:

"It seems that there is an issue with this game. We are investigating and probably new serials should be received. Do you wish to wait for the fix or for a refund in blue coins that you can use towards another game?"

Not really solved, but as close as it's gonna get for a while, it sees.

Yet another example (in a long list) of reasons why I do not, and will not trust any DRM scheme.

(Sorry to hear you've run into a bit of a brick wall on this one, Rodzaju.)
