Mind you this is the same person who was confused by this.

That being said, I was born in 83 so I was born in the midst of it, but still have memories of it and the early/mid nineties, and I when I remember back to it and see what came out of it, I think it was a more care-free time then we have today. And not just because I was kid during it either.

It depends, if you have seen when you were young, than it will always be great!

Watching it now for the first time, well, hard to say. It is somewhat culturally significant.

I haven't seen it in years, but be warned, it is kinda cheesy ...

It's very cheesy, but great. I'd say give it a shot but don't get too attached to the idea of it being as great for you as it is for someone who watched it back in the day.
