It's amazing how hard it is for developers then and now to realize we like X-Com because it's X-Com. Not a FPS. Not a space combat sim. We just want X-COM.

I'm glad developers have finally realized we don't want the same stuff recycled. Innovation's where it's at. I won't weep for this project's cancellation, since (relatively) early 3d graphics wouldn't do it justice... But it was a great idea that I'm glad we will see come into fruition.

The squad would have been 75% female, to attract the male demographic. This was at the same time they were working on an RTS reboot called Genesis. Also they were trying ot get an X-Com Saturday Morning Cartoon off the ground. Because they wanted the big bucks a giant media franchise would bring. Heaven forbid they choose something that wasn't an exceptionally dark deconstruction of the Saturday morning cartoons in the first place, I mean, it has aliens, and it's a video game, it must be for kids, right?

And considering how people reacted to the new XCOM. I'm sure they'd have also complained about how Hasbro has totally ruined, ruined! their fantasies of torrid lesbian sectoid/rookie pornography through the usage of the fiendish technology known as polygons, which as we know is a passing fad only favored by small-minded Quake players.

I think it would have been better than Enforcer. If this was going to be a semi X-COM and Rainbow Six hybrid I think I would have bought it. Oh well, at least we have Apocalypse and Interceptor.

Yeah, that's it. I dunno, I'm not really liking the way it looks, and again, it's $30, and will be higher when it comes out, according to their page. I still haven't bought Academagia, despite liking how that looks, because it's $25.
