Tekkaman-James: Devolver Digital, the publisher of Hatoful Boyfriend, responded to my inquiry via Twitter and have confirmed that both the standard and Collector's Edition of the game will be coming to GOG. I am attaching a screenshot of their tweet as confirmation. (Note: I have edited my posts in order to keep my anonymity.)
Thanks for doing that.

That means GOG is getting my purchase. Still question their lack of "Upcoming" communication.

This game definitely not my genere, but I must amdit that the idea is so weird it caught my attention!
