Firstly, please go to http://www.gog.com/en/wanted/ and vote for World of Goo. We all know it's an excellent DRM-free game from independent developer available on Windows, Mac, Linux and Wii. I'd be delighted to see it on GOG.com. Maybe even in multiple languages and for all systems eventually? It's simply a first class indie game.

There was a sale in a nearby store and I was able to obtain a regular retail box for virtually free. Since I already own license for the game, I'd like to give it to somebody who would put it to a better use (tip: Christmas coming!). Note: This is Polish language release for Windows (PC CD). World of Goo works fine with WINE. Brand new, sealed. I'll pay shipping costs.

What to do?

1. Write and send an e-mail to the game developers (2D BOY) and ask them if there is a possibility of seeing World of Goo on GOG.com in the future. Tell them GOG sells only good and DRM-free games and that WoG fits nicely. Or something like that. :')

You don't event have to give away your e-mail address.
Remember about netiquette!

2. Paste here your sent e-mail. The most convincing/interesting/creative one wins. :') Entries valid until end of November 2010, CET.

isn't this Good Old Games? Nothing against the game or your contest, but I'm not really sure it belongs on gog.com.
Its regular, non-sale price is still $19.99, though, so that's way above GOG's current maximum price point.

Hence "in the future". All games get "old" eventually. :') Empire Earth III was released only year prior to World of Goo, so.. Prices drop over time too. Not everywhere WoG costs $20 in stores.

I still encourage you to vote, though.

I still voted ;)
GOG have stated that they're not interested in having indie games on GOG. It's not their focus. So in this case it's not a matter of convincing the rights holder, but rather a matter of convincing GOG that a good old game is a good old game, indie or not.
Since you pretty much got World of Goo free with every just about every purchase except perhaps cereal some time back I have the game several times over.. so no thanks.
And it doesn't belong on GOG, this is Good Old Games not OK Indie Games or if you're feeling generous Good Indie Games (GIGgity).
Wait, World of Goo is drm free and still widely available. What is the point of releasing it here?
Ok, i know WItcher 2 is coming here, i can understand that, but let's not make this a running gig. There's a sh.tload of GOG's still waiting to be placed here, i guess new titles could wait a bit.... 10 years, or so..

A vote, why not, wouldn't harm. ;)
