I just thought I would draw your attention to this nice little indie game.

http://www.wizorb.com/

It plays like Breakout/Arkanoid, but it takes place in a setting similar to The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. As you break bricks and treasure chests, gold and items fall out. You can bounce your orb into item shops as well. You are trying to help gain money to rebuild a town though, so you don't want to spend all of it in the shops. I really like the retro styled graphics and it has a whimsical storyline. The game is only $2.99 at GamersGate and definitely more fun than a comparably priced cup of coffee..

I got it because it was free with blue coins and I always loved Breakout. It's fun, though hard for me on normal mode (I suck at arcade style games). Presentation is lovely.
Did you play with keyboard or mouse?

I first played with keyboard and it was just too hard when the orb started going fast. There wasn't enough time to position the paddle. With a mouse though, you can make quick moves and fine tuned adjustments. It's much better controlled that way.

It's still a bit of a challenge though, largely because each world requires you to pass 12 levels and one boss with three continues. For me, that's just about the perfect skill level where it pushes me to do well, but has a definite danger of failure. It also gets harder when you are concerned about saving money to rebuild the villager's homes and businesses. You can't rely on buying items when you want to save.
