As Team 17 released a new Alien Breed game this year, I grabbed my old Amiga CD32 copy of Alien Breed Tower Assault and realized how much fun these games were (Well, the 3D games weren't great IMHO, but the original Trilogy was).

Since they were also released for MS-DOS, it would be nice to have them on Gog as well :) (Alien Breed II was my favorite)
They can't.
No chance.
Is the recent Alien Breed trilogy any good? I've seen them on PSN and Steam but don't know much about them.

The expressions "generic", "run of the mill" and "god this is so boring, how much more till it ends?" come to mind.
The graphics are kind of nice, but that's pretty much it.

Honest question: Why? I stopped following the fate of some Amiga devs, so I don't know the licensing situation, is there any interesting story?
I don't think ABII was ever ported to DOS. And the DOS version of Tower Assault was kinda butchered.

If you have an Amiga emulator, Team 17 released the original versions for free download from www.dream17.info (the only place allowed to host them legally).

GOG simply doesn't have Team17 signed up. Beyond that, I don't know.

Didn't someone recently post that they'd heard that Team 17 were interested in signing though?

That's correct. Team17 DID say that GOG would be a great fit for the games.
