Way back in 1996, Emperor of the Fading Suns was a favourite game of not just myself, but some of my avid gamer friends. It did well, some things few other games even attempted, which was to create a science fiction strategy game with the emphases on (multiple) planet side building and ground combat.

I would dearly love to revisit this old classic but finding it and getting it to run is a bit of a nightmare. I would dearly love to pay GOG for the privilege of having your experts do that work for me. ;-)

Any chance we could get you to pick up this game for us?

Wishlist - wishlist!
And welcome!
You can vote for it on the wishlist
I didn't see it on the wish list. In fact when I looked at the wish list, there were only two games listed, at least where I was looking, and there was no immediately obvious way of seeing more. I assumed the wish list was simply that small. The link just now provided shows a truly vast wish list with some games having thousands of votes (and Emperor of the Fading Suns sadly having relatively few).

I note that there seems to be no way to 'sort' the wish list alphabetically, so in order to find the game you would wish to vote for, you have to manually scroll through and read literally hundreds of other game titles displayed in random order. That is not a particularly practical way to structure a wish list.
Or you can use the search function ;)
I still have my original copy and it runs fine on 64bit win 7
Voted. Haven't seem this game before but it looks awesome!
I would like to see a new EFS as well ;-)

At Holistic Design Inc, we are currently working on Fading Suns: Noble Armada, a mobile tactical space combat game with some strategy elements. We've just hit Alpha with it, and hope to have the iOs version out in a couple months. While it lacks the ground combat elements we so enjoy, I think the space combat part is a lot of fun. Now that we are at Alpha, there is some discussion about the game at:
