I just saw this, http://www.androidauthority.com/winulator-android-directx-emulator-135151/ , over on Google+. It looks like the app needs to be customized for each game, but the possibilities are great.

I think these folks need to partner with GoG to bring out these custom apps for their more popular games. What do you all think?

Read about it today, and I think the same. GOG should hire this guy.
Oh sweet, it even configures the mouse to actually register where you place your finger. I wish ScummVM would do the same.

Doesn't it? I thought you could choose between relative and absolute mouse control in Android ScummVM?

Hmm, no. I just checked it on my phone, and I can't find any such option. I could have sworn it used to be there though.
ScummVM for Android does have an absolute mouse positioning mode, but it's not labelled as such- it's controlled by the "Mixed AdLib/MIDI mode" checkbox on the MIDI tab. If it's checked, the mouse should register exactly where you touch the screen, if it isn't it'll treat the whole screen as a trackpad.

As I recall, the port developer couldn't add custom menu options, so repurposed one of the less important ones.
Got ninja'd, see BlackMageJ's reply above.

Hey thanks... this has been the single most annoying thing in ScummVM for me. Now it's damned perfect.

Ah, so I did remember correctly, even though I had forgotten that particular detail. It's nice to know my memory is only halfway decayed :-D

haha, I've been beaten. That sounds exactly like one of my projects, except that I never got it running on a real arm device. I don't remember having any particular problems with sound though, so hopefully that'll be pretty simple for him to fix.

I have a raspberry pi now... I really should give the arm conversion another go. At the moment I'm just using it as a windows->mac converter, which is a bit pointless because wine is already plenty good enough for that.

I wonder why it isn'T the default. I know it is on the DS version.
The more support for pc games on tablets, the better - my collection of older games is the primary reason why I have stuck with netbooks / laptops for mobile computing in the past. I worry about how playable a lot of my favourite games would be on a touchscreen interface though.

You can find x86 tablets nowadays... kind of pricey though.
With mouse games the touch screen shouldn't be an issue, if the UI is well designed. I'd think a game like Eye of the Beholder for an example should work like a charm on touch screen. And luckily they're adding a support for it in ScummVM :D

Right-clicking will probably be a problem though.
I haven't had issues with right clicking, as it's usually either done with touching screen with two fingers or double tapping. Though I can see how it could be an issue, if screen response time itself is bad or the multitouch isn't working perfectly.
