For those turned off about having to use the client. The Origin release of this game is almost identical to the GOG version, DOSBox and all. If one wants to bypass the client, simply place a vanilla DOSbox exe in the game's directory and start the game from there.

Also if one wanted to, all of the original cdrom files are located in DATA.DAT. This is just a plain iso file, so one can easily install this onto a native DOS machine (again, without the need of the Origin client).

staticblast: Odd. Still only seeing Peggle. Region-exclusive, or simply a slow site update?
Have you tried following: "Store" - "Free games" - "On the house"?

Should be there.

It's a trap!

Are the Wing Commander games even available in your country?

Seems actually to be a regional thing. I just read an article on "Polygon", where a russian user also stated, it would only show "Peggles" for him.

Quote:"Klaster_1

Tough luck, it’s a mere Peggle instead of Wing Commander 3 in Russia."

Well, sure. GOG doesn't do region-locking. ;P

Actually already have it, so it's no real bother.
Suggest moving the deals thread conversation about origin etc here? My fault I started the conversation and forgot that It was spamming the offers/deals offscreen for people :S

You monster! The sound is not super, but it's cool. I'll have to learn the controls, apparently. :S

I made a point this year to try everything out there to have a good representation of the platforms offered. I got the Mass Effect games, some free stuff, a few cheap DVDs. They have a good money-back guarantee, too. The real reason why I won't buy more for Origin is that I bought Remember Me there to get away from Steam, yet I need to use Steam for it and it's not mentioned anywhere on the page.

Uplay, on the other hand, is a wretched pile of misery. I'll get around to playing AssCreed 3 at some point and that will be it.

I like to reinstall OSes anyway, I'd do it every other month. :p
Thanks for the info! :-)
