Hello guys,

I'm a Mac user, but there's so much Windows games here! I'd like, for example, to play Arcanum. But it works only in Windows.

Is there a way to launch a Windows game bought here somehow on Mac?

Thank you!

Hello.

There is a guide to run Arcanum on Mac on this very site: Guide.

For other games, there is wineskin.
While it's a tad out of date, I have a guide for using Wineskin to get Windows-native games on OS X here:
http://www.gog.com/forum/general/gog_games_on_mac_os_x_a_how_to/page1

I also have an also (slightly out of date) GOGmix as well for Windows games that I've gotten to successfully run on OS X here: http://www.gog.com/mix/mac_friendly_gog_games_4

And finally, I've written some articles for Inside Mac Games called "Crossing Over", which talk about getting some Windows native games to run on OS X through Wine.

As Grargar says, Wine/Wineskin is way to go. I'll just add that some games for Mac (and Linux) on GOG are actually run thru Wine/Wineskin similar to how DOS games are ran using DOSBox for all platforms. More games will be made Mac and Linux compatible as time goes by. Wether or not any single game is "ported" (using Dosbox, ScummVM, Wine or some other medhod.) depends on GOG getting permissions from rights owners, the time and effort GOG needs to make game work as well as getting stability and performance good enough to pass GOG QA standards.
