I've installed a few game that I haven't played in a while and from what I can tell, they are reported to work fine in 32 bit Windows 7.

The problem I am having is that when I go to launch the games I get an error that Quicktime 3 is not installed. Current version of Itunes is. (10.x I think).

The games come with quicktime 3 and when I try to install it, I get a 64 bit windows mismatch error.

I've tried to remove Itunes, but obviously this doesn't solve the 64 bit issue. I've tried every compatibility option available.

I vaguely remember a fix for this in the past, but I'm not sure if I was running 64 bit back then. Is there a way to get games that insist on Quicktime 3 to function in a 64 bit OS?

Thanks for any thoughts.

Which games aren't working?
isn't quicktime 3 really really old? and have you just tried a newer version of quicktime?

Yes, its included in Itunes. The latest version was already installed by default.

I'll check when I get home on titles, It was 2 or 3 games that were pre-packaged with QTW3.x on the discs. I'm afraid it an OS limitation, but am hoping there is a codec pack that the older games will recognize that I'm not aware of (or other fancy workaround ;) ).

Thanks.
I'm not sure if this will help you, but I don't have any problems with QT since I installed Quick Time Alternative. Just try it out for yourself :)

Woot! This is what I was looking for. Saw this in another search and thought it was something else. I was able to remote in and this fixed it.

Thanks!
