Hey guys,

I am currently running two competitions on my website in partnership with Lace Mamba Global.

We are giving away three copies of Sam & Max - The Devil's Playhouse and three copies of Super Meat Boy - Ultra Edition! (UK residents only).

I know GOG is all about Good OLD Games - I have actually played a few and reviewed them on AMO, with more coming soon. However, if you fancy trying your luck at winning some good NEW games, here's your chance!

So you advertise your site here with a competition only open for UK residents? Not so clever.

Nothing wrong with that. Most of us aren't British but plenty of us are, and it is at them that this thread is aimed. I'm just glad that eligibility is mentioned up-front in the post rather then buried in the rules.

Although GOG is not a UK based site, I am sure many of its members are British or based in the UK. Also, this competition is to celebrate the UK launch of these two great games by British publisher Lace Mamba Global... so it kind of makes sense - taking into account AMO is UK based too - that the comps are only open to UK residents!

You can't do nice things and giveaways that only target 70,000,000 people? Why exactly?

You can. Some people just find it annoying when it's advertised to the entire world, rather than just the eligible group. It makes them feel like they're missing out through no fault of their own.

I guess the internet IS the entire world nowadays, but as explained above I didn't set out to make anyone feel left out, it is simply the nature of the beast that this competition can only be offered to those living in the UK. Apologies to anyone who does feel left out!

Just so you understand, I don't personally have anything against you mentioning it on this forum. I was just trying to explain how some people might see it.
