I have sent a multitude of emails to the support staff at GOG and have received zero replies. It has been around a month since I first sent an email. Is anyone else having this problem? Its frustrating because I love what this company is doing, but I have problems with some of the games, and am getting no help from them. I check the help forums, but they don't answer my questions.
I've only needed to contact support twice, once for Gorky 17 and later for Septerra Core. In the former case I got help within a day, and the problem was solved. For the latter I am still yet to recieve a reply, ONE YEAR LATER.

Could there be a problem with their software that's causing help messages to disappear? I'd hate to think that GOG is just ignoring help requests. I just don't know.
as I have said in previous threads:

GoG really needs to hire more people for this

The site is growing fast, more and more people are joining and the staff they currently have isnt enough
I'm strapped for cash a lot of weeks as well and $10 blown on a non functional title might mean a pack of ciggies on one of those really bad days where I'm out and broke.

But I've come to a rule of thumb for myself now that purchasing digital is a gamble so I won't spend any more than $20 on a DD site and will not spend any more than $5 if it is my first time and I am not familiar with the site.

Any PC game that I really want bad enough to afford more than $20 for, I will purchase hard copy from a store that allows returns.

I've got about four DD games, from four different sites that are dead horses.

One member (I think it was Vandal) said a few days ago that everybody at GOG had been busy working on site updates or something like that. Could be it, though it could also not be, depending on whether you believe it.

But more importantly, are you a David Gemmell fan?
To get a refund for a broken game is impossible too. Advent Rising is not playable because of corrupted savegame files. You are to enjoy lovely CTD the older and bigger the save game gets. And this is a known bug since the game was released on XBox. Same with Oblivion e.g. My refund request was not worked properly but i got a rerequest from support to send my DX diagnostic files. But its not a hardware problem its a problem of the game, messing up the save game files. So i stopped buying things on gog.com because of this. I am not interested in making business with the other part treating me like a child.

Have a nice day
I love GOG.com but the support is really bad.

For example, there are still some installers that need to be fixed:

- Neverwinter Nights (has a color issue in the character creation screen - is fixed by installing the latest patch although the game is already updated to the last version): Not a single staff post in the forum over a week after the release
- Serious Sam - The Second Encounter (missing shortcuts for and missplaced files of the Seriously Warped Mod 3.0 - no issues with the retail version): no reply to my mail after several months
- Inability of pretty much all GOG installers to detect (and let you select) current DOSbox versions: Also no reply at all to my mail

I understand that decent support needs a lot of personal but these issues should finally be sorted out.

Yeah, Advent Rising is kind of messed up...it's still a nice game though...I liked it.
But Oblivion? I'm...not sure. Never had a problem with oblivion saves...

Also, I'm yet to meet a customer service that doesn't treat me like a child. I guess it has to do with patience+helping people with stuff you think simple (since it's your work)=childcare. This is not true, but the customer service personnel can feel that way. It's rather hard to see this clearly from both sides.

I only wrote a letter to GOG once, and they replied fairly quckly, but that was over two years ago. Judging from what people are saying, it really does seem that it's not the intent but the resources which are missing.
They still haven't sorted out the message system (that seems to have been broken since leaving the old beta and entering the current beta).

I'd imagine that once that's done it will be infinitely easier for staff to respond to support tickets. I don't think it's just a manpower issue. But clearly some more staff wouldn't hurt.
The only companies with excellent online support are the larger bookmakers.

Anyway, just state your problem here and have the community sort it out. No point in waiting for a reply from a probably well overwhelmed support service.

The reason why support is bad is on Episode 1 of the GOGcast.

Ace. I'm reading White Wolf right now. I hope to acquire a copy of Legend soon. I've heard so many good things about it, and though my current favourite Gemmell novel is Morningstar, people have said that Legend is even better than Morningstar.
