Doominator99: I do not understand why I should pay my bank to convert the currency. Don't they have a program to automatically convert it for them? It should be free and it sounds like they are stealing to me.

Steam, Amazon and many other sites display the British prices. I don't understand why GOG can't do the same.

All this sounds unnecessarily complicated, but then again, if I had my way the entire world would be a single country, with a single currency, with a single language and everything would be simple and perfect and rainbows.

I imagine "why" isn't as important as "What would you like?" which you've indicated. GOG has indicated sometime earlier this year that they are considering or planning on adding support to the website and infrastructure to allow people to choose the currency they would like to shop with. Based on that and we also know they are working on redesigning the site right now with many new things planned coming for this fall, presumably the website redesign and new features such as local currency pricing may appear at that time or some time later I imagine.

So for the most part "why" doesn't really matter much, but a good an answer as any is "because they haven't implemented something like that and made it available yet", but going from their past comments it appears to be on radar for the future.
